BIOGRAPHY:

Photographer Jeff Bevis was born on January 4th, 1955 at the Southside Hospital in Bayshore, New York. At the age of two, he contracted spinal meningitis, which left him a quadriplegic. This left him with limited use of his legs and right arm. To overcome this handicap, Jeff has undergone numerious operations on his legs, right arm, and has recieved extensive physical therapy. Because this disability was similar to cerebral palsy. He attended the Saint Charles Cerebral Palsy School in Port Jefferson, New York, until the fifth grade. In 1967, Jeff began to attend a regular school and ultimately, he graduated from C.W. Post College in Greenvale, New York with a B.A. in Communication Arts. Presently, Jeff is a full time Radio-Operator with the Suffolk County Department of Parks and also has his own business.

ARTISTIC ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Jeff has exhibited at numerous galleries throughout Long Island, New York and the United States.
